Default Power Steering

Hey all,

So a couple of weeks ago all the power steering fluid dump out of car, luckily i was pulling into my driveway. anyway i finally got a chance to look at it, it seems a bolt has comes off causing a U piece which joins 2 hoses to wear and leak.. hard to explain so i attached a pic. my question is where does that bolt belong? and im assuming that is one big piece (2 hoses, metal piping and U piece)? any help appreciated!

Hi Lee,
I are not able to check my KJ at the moment but from memory that assembly is bolted up on the chassis rail in the engine bay just below the fuse box on the passenger side of the the vehicle. I think it is just part of a loop to tune out pulsations in the power steering circuit.
If I get a chance tonight I will post a pic or perhaps someone else can beat me to it.

You can check with North Coast Wrangler (AJOR user name) as he works in a Jeep Parts department and can give you a price. My parts fiche shows the part number as 52128940AC (for the pressure hose set fro the RHD 2.8L). Parts numbers are different for the V6 - can you tell us which one you have?

There is a company in Ingleburn NSW that repair hydraulic hoses, brake lines pipes basically anything with high pressure through it. If you're in Sydney try them as they'd be cheaper then having to buy a new one from jeep if they can repair it. My aircon pipe was cut and they fixed it for $80, pressure tested and everything.... warrenty on the repairs too which is an added bonus.
