I fitted the OME 2" lift to mine while my wife was pregnant. The ride was fine, and only towards the end she complained of the extra height needed to get in (but that was only for obvious reasons!). As the XJ is still a family car I couldn't go too wild, and the 2" lift has been enough to let me follow other lifted vehicles easy enough.

I have OME front coils and they seem fine so far and they were second hand when I get them....

Forgot to say it has been on for about a year now, drivers side is sitting about 1/2" over stock sport at the back and about 1" over stock sport at the front.
If it was a 2" kit then the front hasn't sagged at all and the rear has sagged only 1/2", just remember that all lifts are measured over the standard height and sports are 1" up from the factory.....

putting a 2' lift on a sports model will gain in total only 1'
so that would mean:
A 4.5 into a sports only gives 3.5.
Over time and a few km's and it will sag a bit. = 0.5' or 1'
So the 4.4 lift into a sports model over time and distance could end up only netting 3' to 3.5' lift.
right or wrong or am i right off track?

Another addition:
I just had to replace one of my tyres after 7000klms (Cooper S/T's) and the fellow said it was scalloped because the ironman shocks I bought are too stiff and dont have any give. Im no tyre expert but at $230 per tyre I will play it safe and replace the front shocks I will also contact Ironman so they can tell me its a tyre fault or shonky mechanic.

Had the OME 2" lift done, all is good, front is a tad higher than the back I thought it would be the other way around. Handling is great actually goes around corners now...amazing! The nuts on the sway link bars were left loose which was a bit crap, but all else is good.

One thing though; I now have a knocking/rumble when starting and at low speed a vibration through the car (thinks from the same knocking/rumble), spent 2 hrs tonight with the installer (ARB) but can't track it down at all....any ideas?

Engine mount maybe. Sounds a little like what I had and lifting might just place that little extra pressure on it. It is a common problem with XJ's for the left one to go bad because of the heat fron the exhaust. I got a replacement from Wooders for around $50.
