Was going to use some of the tax money but have to wait another couple of weeks.

Soon, but will still be stock this weekend!

As you can see without lift or extra articulation it still went very well.

I purchased a kit from Rocky Road in the USA (www.rocky-road.com) in February. It is a body lift that uses the original springs all round and original front shocks, comes with two new longer travel shocks for the rear.

It raised the vehicle about 55mm which was just what I needed for the fire trails around SE NSW and the Victorian High Country.

King Springs were developing their product at that time but Canberra was too far away for them to consider me as a test vehicle. I have since spoken to their technical person (Stephen Bartlett - 07 5539 6700) and he confirmed that their new springs give a 30mm lift measured from the centre of the wheel to the underside of the guard). He was not aware of any aftermarket shocks at that time - late May '06. And I haven't been able to find any either.

Vehicle rides exactly the same as stock with the Rocky Road lift - it could really do with better shocks though, its a bit wallowy at times.

But I'm happy with the outcome, it works well for me.

Cheers

Kevin

Guys - have spoken to a couple of suspension places down here who all think that King Springs are crapola. I haven't used them before, but I find it hard to believe that they could be worse than the saggy OME springs I had in my TJ. Trying to organise a lift on the new commander for Jambo (but running out of time/options). Any thoughts?
