yeah changed setting so you couldn't "like" posts older than 14 days, now changed it to 30 days.

The one downside of the "like" function is its limiting the interaction.

More modifying interaction. There are a lot of likes that would have got no comment in the past. It has probably reduced the number of "I agree" type posts that dont add much to the discussion. Probably 90% of the likes I get would have not generated a discussion post & 80% of the likes I give would have not previously resulted in me posting.

How about a new section Jimmy?

I propose an "EMERGENCY - HELP" section for people who are stuck and in need of assistance.

Most everybody have smart phones, tablets, laptops etc with 3G/4G connections, GPS positions, Google Maps, HEMA, OZIEXPLORER,MOTION X, MUD MAPS, you name it. Those who are stuck and in need of assistance could then post up:

Example

-HELP please
-Name, Mobile Number
-Location, GPS Position, How to get there
-What the problem is
-Make,Model,Year
-Time and Date
-What type of assistance required : Parts, Tow, Snatch, Winch, Water, Food, First Aid
-What equipment and recovery gear onboard
-Notes

Anyone willing to help then replies and off to the rescue with cameras and videos to record The Real Jeep Assist!

I, for one am very willing to assist. Have towed 5-6 cars to servos or safe locations and even flagged down a smoking Hiace van (not weed ) and managed to extinguished a small fire in the engine bay. Not even a thank you from the idiot. Nevermind, it was all quite rewarding.
