The height adjustment is for being loaded but I find they are quite high otherwise. Probably due to my combination of Springs. Getting a winch fitted this week and both headlights are cracked so they are bring replaced. Who knows. May be completely different next week.

Thanks for the heads up Hunno. Might not be able to fit one as I think anything on top of the bull bar is an offence too.

Now, since we got it, I actually dont mind the headlights. I think the low beams are quite good, not the best ive seen, but not the worst. The highs leave a bit to be desired, but ill probably eventually get spotties or a light bar anyway.

Now twice tonight I had ********wits in other cars flashing me. One coming towards me after I dropped them back to lows flicked his back to high and left them there, the other I was following, definitely not with highs on, and when we got to duel lanes he dropped behind me and hit his highs.

Wtf is with that??? Stock wrangler, definitely low beams, and twice within 20 mins I run into ********wits? Do I have freakishly good globes that everyone else didnt get or something? Should I check and make sure mine is wired right and the dash indicator is infact correct? Or are adelaide drivers just looking gor prople to show their disapproval of to hide their own inadequacies? ?

I noticed the first time I drove mine at night, that I was spotting koalas in the trees with the high beam. Put them on a wall and measured the beam centres, they were way too high. Try adjusting the white knob on the rear of the headlight mounts....you can reach it with your fingers - enough to turn it. Its an easy adjustment to lower the lights.
I'd also read about how bad the Wrangler lights are....but those are the US spec headlights...we get Hella H4 units, much better lights.

Just talking to flat mate. The copper said if they are pointing to the sky you will be ok as they are now not classified as forward facing lights.

I guess if a bracket was made so they point upwards while not in use they might be ok with it. I wonder if fitting a cover to them which covers the lense so the light can't get through who be considered another option which they would be ok with. Seems pointless though as they would help on my travels each day as I hit too many roos and wombats. I think if I could only use them when offroad it would be a waste. As I don't really wheel off road at night regardless. Too hard to get mobile again in the dark if something goes wrong.
