Default MIG Gas whats the Best Way

Years ago there was only CIG where you had to hire the bottles is this still the best way to go or do some of the other companys have a cheeper way .
I tend to only use the welder every month or so and hate the idea of paying rent on the bottle when it's not being used. For the last couple of years I've used gassless wire on little jobs but I have a couple of bigger projects in the pipeline and will need to get a bottle again.

you need a account to hire bottles from boc. You can select monthly, 3 monthly or yearly rental.
you pay for the cylinder when you get it then how long you keep the bottle is how often you pay your rental.
take it from a x BOC employee as of 3 days ago.

Grab a new regulator from repco and go the disposable bottle route if your using little gas at any time.
The disposables are a good idea for 2 to 3 hours welding in still air and frugal use of the gas.
About $90.00 to get set up with a throw-away tin compared to $12.80 per month to rent.

If you do rent a bottle go Argoshield General Purpose and get a larger bottle.

I'm on a BOC account for all my gas bottles... Argoshield, nitrogen and oxy bottles.. it's pretty easy way to do it.
