Default JK Wrangler CRD Cooling issue

Hi all
I have a 09 JkU with 2.8turbo.

a few years ago I fitted a scanguage in it to monitor engine functions etc. water temperature being the key one. It has always run hot. On a 30+ (degrees c) day it's nothing for it to sit on 105 degrees C. Not a fan. I know modern truck engines, Detroit-Cat-Cummins, will also run in excess of 102 degrees C and beyond, all the time in warm weather, due to efficient combustion and less emissions. So I'm assuming it's not unusual for some cars to be set up similar.

I CANT STAND THIS! If I'm towing the boat, it will go to 110 or higher without even pushing it, rad not blocked, driving in O/D out to keep revs well above 2200rpm.
I have noticed from time to time that it will sit around 100 in the same conditions which is acceptable.

Hasanyone had similar issues? Are the thermo stats set high from factory, or do I have a sticky or stuffed thermostat? It's a great car and good engine but this is driving me nuts ha ha. Thanks in advance!

Note: I have had EGR disconnected to try and make her run cooler which made little To no difference. In winter, runs around 80-90 degrees.

Should I consider a new red with more cores?

You have posted in the wrong section.

You are 30degs over the thermostat opening temp. replace the shitty factory coolant, replace the clutch fan.

disconnecting the egr doesn't do anything, it needs to be tuned out.

Try running an aftermarket inline thermostat, I did in my chipped crd 2.8 when thermostat was stuck open and she was running too cold, it fits inline in top hose and is a 4 min job to change or swap out of try a diff temp range, also I'd recommend running a large external trans cooler if you're towing alot
