I thought it flashed when ignition switched on in my 96 limited so just checked and it does exactly the same as in the video on and off. I guess it always has in my 14 years of ownership but never really payed attention.

I've never noticed it myself, either.
The solenoid noise I've always known was there. But never noticed the light. Go figure...

Womens worry, I guess. (ducks head)

Can anyone else confirm?

NOT COOL

id say it flashes on shut down due to back feed of the solenoid when voltage is removed

nothing to worry about.
