Yea mate just the other day I thought I better check how legal they are cause I haven't seen any around. Well I quickly found out they are not legal....
The ruling states that bars need to be angled rearwards so intitial point of contact to a pedestrian would be low and throw them onto the hood. This means that the hoop has to be removed and replaced with a more conventional hoop.

mmm I agree a lot of them are designed to protect the complete idiots idiot child but I guess to keep Mr Plod happy we have to follow them. My aim for the TJ is to do all the things I want and get them engineered so when Mr Plod tries to tell me its illegal I can show him how legal it is. Well that's my goal in any case.
