I'd start with the diff plug connection's first, then the T/C motor plug.
Unplug them, making sure they are clean & dry & reconnect.
The wiring for the diff's & T/C run to the left hand side under the back seat, also check that the skid plates haven't pinched any wiring.

If it has the C140F code then yes I would ask them to do the flash again as per the steps in the TSB. If the code is different then it could be a different issue.

By the way the C140F code could be indicating the T/C motor is actually faulty as this is what its supposed to do.

Today I went for a drive to Palm Valley, and to negotiate the final pinch I felt the need for Low range...pulled the lever and..it worked! "Service 4wd " message came up, but it was in low range and all went well.
No problems returning to high range and no messages on the way back.
I was pleased it worked when I needed it. Fingers crossed for next time..

I believe (just off the top of my head.) an eLSD solenoid fault code will display the "Service 4wd" but still allow you to enter low range. Could be many other things too, but codes from the solenoids are a common one since the connectors are more exposed than anything else.

When you install the transfer case modules above new, are they plug and play or need programing by the dealers?
