Rego and FULL Insurance is about $250pa on my $10K '69 Jaguar

You have to be a member of an approved Car Club to qualify, they have a membership fee, and some qualifications

I will do this if I get a DD that is a small car that uses less fuel, maybe a used hybrid,
rarely more than one or two folk in my vehicle these days
"more if you are clever" it amazes me its still a paper based system but im also not complaining

Thats actually the worst bit, finding a mechanic who still has the old pink slip book.

Mine has just moved cities, so I will have to find another

i guess they have all moved on, probably like me there XJ's sits slumbering in the shed, seems i just use mine when i need to tow the trailer, or take the dog for a drive, sad really"
yes yes and yes there are not many of us left
My XJ recently became a DD (had to wait for a brake service on the JKU) for 3 weeks and I had the best experience with it. Such a shame the production run ended in 2001. When other motorists see it on the road, they are hell bent to overtake from a long distance behind (thinking both the car and driver are old timers), until I put my pedal against the firewall.
