As J33Pster said, 18" JK rims will fit a WK2, it's the bog stock 17"s that won't clear the brakes.

If you want to know if a rim/tyre will fit your vehicle this link allows you to find out, just need to do some measurements, fill in the details...

https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/

I have found the Yokahama Geolanders to be a very good all round tyre in AT, they stick like the proverbial on the tar for their entire life, are not noisy, the only surface they are not great on is mud and very wet slippy rocks, climb rocks like a goat without ripping the crap out of themselves or chucking boulders everywhere............. Have run them on the ZG and WG and now on the WK2, just wish the WK2 had better clearance.... they do the distance..... Sick of buying a lot of others only to find they howl after 40K or are worn away by 50K.
Other than the bloke on the TV its hard to find anyone who reckons Coopers are worth the money and live up to the spiel....

Mine are fitted with Cooper ST Maxxs and I have to admit I'm not a fan of them so far. For an All Terrain, they are nosier than the aggressive muddies I had on the JK. These things drone at all speeds. At least the MT's didn't become noisy until 80ks and up.
Had a 80 series with ST maxx's on that all cracked on the inside sidewall, they started to slow leak and when we removed them it was plain to see why, Took the lot off. Debating trying the maxxis razrs on my wk2 next as mud features a bit in where i go

Will work the tyres out in the future. All the stuff I've been reading about needing tunes etc has got me baffled, regarding what feels like turbo lag etc. I have to say this thing is quite responsive and zips along nicely, def better than the V8 WJ and it launches like bloody crazy!

Tune wise long term i will get mine set up on a dyno properly i do notice the turbo lag at times but i suspect its not all the engine tune so will get the murchison trans tune aswell then see about a throttle controller like idrive. Long terms goals as i dont plan on changing vehicles for a good few years hopefully

IMO turbo lag is pretty much non-existent on these cars, compared to other turbo diesels I've driven. Throttle lag isn't bad either....but then I fitted idrive - what it does to your launch is mind blowing. And I only use it on a low setting, the high settings are just mental.

Not even close IMO, the WK2 diesel is a dog to get off the line in comparison to the V8 WJ.
