I'm having a issue getting a new glass for my hard top the window on the passenger side, it's not a warrenty issue, but any way prob is it's a 08 model and I don't have tinted windows but my vin number says I'm meant to and jeep dealers wont help me i only want the F#@kin glass... with no tint but they saying im wrong and wont order it in wat do i do...

get the vin number of a vehicle in the yard without the tint and order it off that?

Just go to a glass dude and they can cut exactly what you want and prob for half the price.

Otherwise the big windscreen mobs like Obriens, Novas etc will be able to source the glass...but will probably be dearer than a glass dude.

mate go to a glazier and buy aftermarket. or a panel beater or try an aftermarket canopy maker like flexiglass or whoever, they could probably cut and fit one for you. much cheaper than genuine window. other possibility is the american aftermarket . heaps of sites over there can source genuine part for about third of local prices from your vin number.

This is turning into a nightmare the glass they saying i have is $160 but who knows...

If it’s not warranty, just get a windscreen replacement shop to do the work, they replace more than windscreens and it will probably be allot cheaper.

I have had two windscreens both fitted by the dealer but both were non genuine and half the price...
