Unimog 404's.
Patrol....ewww wash your mouth out

The plan wasn't to molest it that much. As it stands I have boxed the chassis and built custom spring hangers to allow the use of XJ leafs.
The body I've removed the entire footwells to replace the rust hole - but haven't welded in to new floorpan yet.
232/T14/D20 is out and a 4.0L/AW4/NP242 is now in the frame rails.

Just run out of spare time recently. But not going to flip on the entire build now....

Dave, it'll be a weapon one day .... This pic made me get into mine. I couldn't see me running anything other than 4.0L, AW4 & NP242 at the start(planning started back in 1997 when we had the TJ....can't rush this sh*t)+ had to wait for drivetrain to become cheap as chips. I plan to build a 231doubler when everything else is sorted + later on build a stroker.

Default CJ8 or CJ10 Build Thoughts

Still pondering this one, even entertaining CJ7/TJ tub on CJ10 chassis/front clip with steel tray/storage.
Still seeing some rough CJ10s around, would never want to cut up a neat one.

Would love a FSJ, but i really only like the late 60s style models for their interior and trim/lights. If I was ever to bring one over I wouldn't touch a thing on it other than maintenance.

Def the smartest why to go........ Seven tubs are getting thin on the ground & way to expensive but TJ's are better rust proofed, cheaper and plentiful. Check my album for pic of CJ cowl on my mockup TJ tub. I'm now using the cowling/firewall off a rusted out seven tub + windscreen so I can lengthen a seven hard top for my six
