i got a 40L digital waeco for xmas. It has been on 2 weekend camping trips and like 3 day trips, at the end of the last no matter what temp you set the fridge at it always goes straight to -18 on mains and 12volt power.

Trying to find the receipt so i can get it fixed under warranty, once i have it goes straight on ebay.......

Might try an Engel this time, never again a waeco :)

It may be something simple and once fixed may give you years and years of good service as has my waeco which is about 7 years old , i am sure somebody will point out on this thread that they have had a prob with engel.
I am sure you would persist with the jeep if it gave you probs... and you wouldnt stick it on ebay

Yeah i know dad has had a trailblazer for YEARS since i was a kid and it still goes strong, ive seen these things bolted to the back of cruisers up north on cars that have been up the cape and back and even sitting out in the elements for months on end they still hold together so well

the downsize however is i own a XJ and that means a trailblazer won't fit in the back :(
