Default WK2 recall - January 2023

Just had my WK2 Diesel Trailhawk MY17 serviced in Sydney.

I was told there is a recall coming for my vehicle in January next year, but they had no idea what it was for. I’m assuming it’s a heads-up for the dealers to get ready and the delay is so parts can be sourced for whatever it is?

Fuel pump maybe?

Crazy that the dealer knows a recall is coming but no idea what for! But then, is it really that surprising?

The person in the service centre was reading it of the computer, she said they didn’t have any information other than a recall was coming.

Should start a guessing comp , I,II start by saying EGR Cooler leaking remedy, rather than a fix, but after reading this, it appears something to do with the abs module, looks like I lost

I just read on another forum about an abs recall in the US starting in June this year. Apparently the fault allows the vehicle to be taken out of park without putting your foot on the brake..

Probably that… as you said.

Read it, noted the details don't apply to mine, noted it's 18-19 WK2's ........... It also confirms why I always have hand brake on, physically select park and when working on it with engine running wheels are always chocked............... bluddy electronic BS fails again..............
