Default Exhaust manifold Leak

Noticed what sounds like an exhaust manifold leak coming from the passenger side at the rear of the engine. Has anybody had this repair done? Car is 2005 WH 4.7 Thanks, Bazza.

I have the exact same sound on my WJ 4.7. The leak goes away after driving it for about 1min as the manifold heats up it expands and closes the gap.

I had a exhaust shop look at it for me, they are knowledgeable about Jeeps, and at first they suggested it to be a cracked manifold (which is common) but in my case the passenger side rear most manifold bolt has snapped off.

The shop quoted me approx $400-450 to remove the manifold, remove the broken bolt, and put everything back. The WJ has little to no room around the exhaust manifolds so they said it was a massive job, hence the price... Maybe its easier to work on the WH.

Thanks mate, that gives me an idea of what to expect. I will get my mechanic to have a look when I get the rear brakes done. My noise goes away in about the same time so best to get it sorted early I guess. Cheers, Bazza.
