Default Garmin navus

Hello Folks,

I have not long had 06 grand cherokee, could someone advise me re on dash garmin navus which is standard equipment for that model, I need to know the model number? and how to get updates? would appreciate any input, I've been through all the forum here and can't get it resolved, thanks Hicko.

I don't think updates are still available for the on-dash Navus unit ex-Garmin....
might be wrong ? but I remember a number of people having the same issue some time ago.
I have one of these on dash units standard with my 2005 WH GCL - what a P.O.S....

No updates, and they are not worth repairing, if you can even do so. Mount an aftermarket one to the front of it.

Hey Valpacer, Yep it sounds like the consensus, I wonder why jeep wasted money putting it in the first place, supposed to be intelligent people, what a waste, what I fill the hole with? Regards, Hicko.

I have my video camera mounted there

I did another for a bloke, gutted the housing and mounted a 7" screen to the front of the case and ran the cables into the dash through the housing.

I think i had 2 done under warranty, and another i bought afterwards. All in the end couldnt have the screen aligned, so you couldnt put in addresses.

They did work ok before that though!
