Car has some dents all over the bonnet. Our pergola at home is smashed to pieces and our pool table got soaked.
Was crazy, I was at a SAPSASA day at a local sports oval that morning with my class when all hell broke loose, the craziest thunderstorm and the first round of hail, we'd evacuated under the verandah but couldn't get in to the club, same as the other schools that were there. Had to call the cavalry and other teachers to come and pick everyone up, then the big hail hit

Maybe everything is just tight on your new car at only 1700km.

I never felt that either throttle lag or turbo lag were an issue in my 2013 but the iDrive certainly sharpened up the throttle making an amazing difference to acceleration. I've never bothered with Economy Mode, don't see the point. I find Ultimate settings 5 or 6 give best results.
I have a 2021 GC Trailhawk,
I have taken both cars out again for a drive, I think what it is is that the the 2012 cruises up to 2000 rev mark where the turbo kicks in quiet swiftly and then the turbo kick is not as noticeable and just seems to go through it seemlessly, The 2021 dosn't seem to have the same go to it until the turbo hits and then boom it pushes it back into the seat.
Maybe as the car gets run in a bit more it will become less noticeable and climb up to that turbo kick a bit quicker.
I am thinking if iam going to keep the unit it will most likely be sitting in the ultimate mode somewhere.

You should put them in your signature so we all know when you ask things, chalk and cheese really with those gearboxes as well...

I did notice on mine when the drain hose on my catch can fell off the Wait Awhile when I put my foot down at the lights was horrible, nothing then blast off, I nearly bought an i drive then and there but then I spotted the missing hose, fixed it and now the delay is barely noticeable, the extra air after the MAF must have confused the thing.......

That’s interesting, my hose split between the catch can and intake (right at the intake) and the car used to throw the throttle body light with no codes occasionally till I fixed it, but I am still chasing this lack of power thing under load. It comes and goes for a few seconds and the ecu backs off the fuel rail pressure then comes good again so no codes or lights ever. Might disconnect the catch can (Supercheap cheapie) and see

Nice post, got me thinking outside the box if the maf sensor and map sensor get confused due to catch can interference

I modified an old footrest from a Commodore and fitted it to my rubber floor mat. I’ve had back and glute issues in my left leg since I’ve bought my GC. Since fitting this my issues have decreased significantly. I have had issues trying to find a comfortable position for my left leg. Problem solved (I hope).
