He must of been having a bad day. I've had this style of pedal on a lot of my vehicles and have never once been questioned for it.

I remember when NSW first changed the window tint laws, a mechanic knocked me back on a rego check and wouldn't approve it until I removed the tint. I had the darkest tint you could get and you couldn't see into the vehicle at all.

We got into an argument as it only pertained to new tint, not vehicles that had already had it before the laws changed. I ended up printing out a copy of the new regulations for him to read before he finally ticked the box.

I never went back to him and never had another issue when any other mechanic.

I fitted a Murchison Product intake tube over the weekend. There's a bit more induction and turbo noise and it's less restrictive than the OEM plastic.

I don't know if it makes a difference to how it drives since we can't go anywhere

The stock plastic one is an ugly brute and as far as I can see it's just a muffler.

When we can drive again let us know if the steel pipe actually delivers any performance improvement. For $195 plus postage you'd hope the difference would be substantial, meanwhile I remain unconvinced but open minded

The original is just to quieten things down, things like turbo howl is annoying to some, Ive though about getting a local muffler shop to bend me a steel one.......I've even put my plastic lid back on the engine, mainly for looks though as it doesn't do anything, see how long I last as pulling it off each week to check underneath may become tiresome when I do my weekly tyre kick.

Been debating changing mine to stainless just to save the issue of factory one breaking, Be nice if there was a power boost too
