Well I put my beloved Jeep in for the service this morning. I told them about me doing laps around the car in 33C heat, or a downpour (this morning
) clicking madly on the remote trying to unlock the car. I told them that the 'receiver' probably needed replacing.
"Oh,..it's probably just that the battery needs replacing in your remote", he says. "No", I reply. "I've only replaced the batteries 6 months ago, and besides an electronics technician has already checked the remotes, and they're fine. Please check the receiver".
I asked them to only replace or fix this issue under warranty. Call me if it is not covered. The car has been there for 5 hours and no phone call, so fingers crossed.
