Jumped in my XJ this morning and noticed a large crack in my windscreen. It starts from the top of the screen in the centre, goes straight down to below the mirror and turns 90 degrees towards the passenger side for another six inches.
Just what I need before Christmas.

Probably a cool change when you had a small crack.

On Thursday on my way home mine was hit by a rock. Ended up with a star about as big as a 20c piece in the middle of the drivers vision. When I got home I used one of those cheap repair things. Worked a treat. Can hardly see the damage. Its about the 5th repair on that screen. Now I am out of the glue stuff will probably need to get another kit as they probably dont sell the glue on its own. I have repaired cracks over a foot long on other screens. The trick is to do the repair ASAP after it happens so dirt & moisture dont get in the crack.
