I haven't come across anyone over the years that would buy a second set of Coopers, I'm still surprised.

Only had them for about 15,000kms. Most of the lugs got ripped off. It was that bad that the car vibrated like crazy. Missing lugs means you can’t balance the tyres. I admit some of the off roading was a little rough, but not enough to justify what happened. I haven’t met anyone yet who has had Coopers who would go back to them.

I'm running that size of Cooper ST Maxx. No, they don't fit in the wheel well. I carry the original spare there and another with the 275/65s on the roof rack.

All I can say is, I'm glad the Coopers were already on the vehicle and that I didn't pay for them. They are the most noisiest tyre I've ever owned. Even the aggressive muddies I had on my Wrangler didn't make as much noise as the Coopers nor where they as squirmy under braking.

My MT's would start to get noisy from around 80kph, the Cooper AT's are noisy from start and don't get any quieter.

I read a 4WD Action AT tyre comparo and they must of been sponsored by Coopers as they voted them the quietest tyre of all the ones tested

I had the same issue with noise. I ended up switching to BFG muddies and they were a bit quieter.

Do the 275/65/18's not fit the spare tire well because of the tire width or the height? Do you think a road tire in the same size would fit? I'm interested in upgrading my tires but would like to have the same size spare kept in the back. Thanks.

They don't fit height wise as they stick up about 1/2" so you can't close the cover.

Even though the ST Maxx have an aggressive side wall, I don't think a road tyre would fit either.
