just remember, everyones entitled to thier own opinion but not your own facts!!

sorry if ive offended you, but.................. they do depreciate like lead ballons, the tyres are too small, there are numerous drive train issues and there riddled with electrics......what can anyone say about that?

Ahhh...yup.

I guess I'm just used to this sort of crap coming from Overlander, 4WDM and ExplorOz forum members when no-one with a Landy is logged on.

If I were a Jeep specialist proprietor - I'd be more careful and sensitive with those sort of comments amongst this particular crowd (Grand owners). They aren't called for here IMHO.

Good point Chrispy and I'd think twice about taking my car to someone who thought it was a pile of crap

Ask my old man (Tricky Dicky) what he thinks of his Grand. Is less than a year old, never been off road, done maybe 16,000kms and is in and out of the work shop getting something replaced every other day. They still havent got it right. Looks like he is selling his 9 month old Jeep to get something that works.

Think it is the same as any car. All makes have lemons. I have a 98 ZJ and have done 15k since I've had it and other than replacing a leaking axle seal (which was leaking when I bought it) I have had no problems at all with the car. Even managed to drown it in a dam, had the plugs pulled and dried it out and it's still running great.

Only difference to my car from when I got it is it now has scratches on it where I keep going off road. Other than that I love it, it never lets me down.

I've had mine for 13 months now, just broke a massive 17,000K and I do take it offroad in some places that a saner person wouldn't. I've added an aftermarket lift to it and swaybar disconnects. Haven't had a problem...nothing,nada,zilch.
But when I do (notice I say when, not if) I'm not blaming DC. I'm blaming myself because I've added said kit and disconnects and I take the mall crawler into places a saner person wouldn't...
