If you are serious about your rock sliders then this is it! You wont bend these. No holes to drill and no bolts to tighten just weld on and forget about it. Manufactured from 3/16-inch laser-cut steel plate, 1.75OD x .120 Wall DOM Tubing. You can use your Hi-Lift jack on the slider to lift the Jeep or use as a recovery point (if you roll )!

Having a 4 door install shortly and will post pictures.

No argument there. But why would you need too? As said it's for the people that are serious, not the ones that worry how they will paint it if it gets scratched

Poly sliders look good I did see them on a DBOR vid and they cought my attention- but something to stand on for the wife getting in and out is required and they do not look like they fit both purposes or can this be added?
I like the EVO but may want to take them off at some stage and the thought of gouging or grinding the chasis doesnt work for me
What seems a little strange to me is I have emailed several suppliers for a quote delivered to my front door and I have had one reply from 6 emails which are now 3 days old :/
I know Im not spending sheep stations but I do like to do my homework before I buy. Its almost like your annoying them asking for a price.
The Shock works sliders look good and seem to be fairly strong anyone using them?
Also where did you get them have had no replies to enquiries made.

Well you sell it with it on, it's not ilegal.....no different then drilling through your body to mount the slider, you cant just take it off.............as said I see your point and its not for all but there are some that will like it.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys - am certain that they all are more robust than stock and have theri unique features

I've decided on the Polyperformance (DBOR) ones because i don't want any extra protrusion ( i.e. no step.... ), they are @#$% strong and DBOR's always looked after me with all the other bits.

Just a matter of personal choice rather than any concerns with the others.

after seeing this pic again I just bumped it from 5 to 3 on the mods list for the year, good man! Damn nice slider, stop all the sooks getting in/out from having to say "man, u need steps or something!" Otherwise if I didnt want a step in disguise, I'd go the PP as well...looks the goods too

Victor is free to prove me wrong that his products do not bolt to the factory mounting points if he wants as that's all I have seen of what's been pictured.

Bodymounted gear like the PPM rocker protection is much better but on a heavy impact I still think you will get damage to the body. But if you're drilling holes in the stock bodywork you probably won't mind if you get some slight creasing around where the steel is attached to the tub.

I have seen yanks mount body armor like poison spyder products and then [url]http://by146w.bay146.mail.live.com/m/messages.m/?mid=med9a6b2c-96e4-11e0-850f

Rubicon rock rails back on- seems to solve the issue of body damage.
Yom i'm sorry you are just flat out wrong. From an engineering perspective body mounted sliders are very strong because they spread the load over a very wide area. I have seen proof of jeeps with body mounted sliders taking an impact from another car going 40km/hr and suffer no damage.

To all with body mounted sliders don't worry what you have is plenty strong if using body mount points as well as drill through the side of the jeep.
Stock rubicon rails are more of a scrub rail not a slider.

And, body mounted sliders are better than chassis mounted as they sit much higher preventing hang ups.

So stop telling people they are for looks only until you actually know what you are talking about.
