Default Air Tank For Tyres

I am looking at options for installing an air tank to inflate tyres after wheeling.
I have a 2 ARB high output air compressors one just dedicated for lockers and second just for inflating tyres.

Even with the new ARB high output air compressor it takes bloody ages to inflate 37 tyres from 5 psi to 30 psi

What size air tank do i need and from where?

An air tank will only give you a quick burst at the start, then once the compressor kicks in its back to what you have now. Unless you want a big enough tank to do all 4 tyres? which would be huge.

I know the americans sometimes use co2 bottles instead...something to look into

But http://www.superiorengineering.com.a...e.php?cPath=49 have a bit of a range or http://www.hornblasters.com/products...hp?c=air-tanks, but is bit of a mission to import here. I would get as big as you can, providing where you can mount it.
I'm installing my onboard air at the moment, will post some pics tomorrow.

I just got one of the ARB CKMA 12V compressors. Went out on Monday. In the time it took one persons TJM compressor to fill their tyres, I had done mine, and almost finished 2 other vehicles!

(Probably would have finished them if I had realised just how much drain the thing took. I hadn't left the engine running & had flattened my battery! Still, I carry jumper leads, so no problem. )

I found a good 'temporary' spot for it in the winch spot of my DBOR front bar!

What you need is onboard air mate.
ARB compressors are for lokkas and light bars and pressurising various items to prevent water getting in.
Krakieone did it on his TJ. But you need the engine bay room.

I have an ARB compressor running a 9litre tank at 150psi which i keep in the boot. It is primarily for running my air horn. But it does help when airing up tyres. Give a sharp boost at the start. Then when the tyre is filled up, by the time the cap goes back on and it's connected up to the next there is a boost there too. Ultimately the best setup would be a 20 or 30 litre tank at 200psi with a regulator.

But for this intense a setup you would probably want a warn twin cylinder compressor.
