Had no power to injectors or coil. so I swapped the crank angle sensor and that fixed it. Found it noticeably harder to swap a ZJ sender compared to a XJ not ideal doing that job lying in the gutter on the side of the road while its raining lol.

After getting drenched in the rain I then broke my heater tap under the bonnet, my heater hose was too long and kinked up so when I shut the bonnet it cracked the tap. Crappy drive home with no heater.
That would have been interesting as the ZG uses a different Crank Position Sensor to the Xj's normally, different shape, length and mounting style....

Oh didn't mean to say I swapped an XJ's into a ZJ's - as you describe they're totally different! So I drove home and get the ZJ CPS and come back. But having done my XJ's recently I could comment that swapping an XJ's CPS was a little easier, might be more room between the tunnel and the transmission.

Whats more correct calling a 96 Grand a ZJ or a ZG?

That makes more sense....

The Zg is the model descriptor giiven by Chrysler to export models, Zj was local (US) models....
