Default lower control arms $524.50

Replacement lower control arms $524.50 a pair.
I have fitted a set & they appear to be good quality, time will tell.

Hay clarky is there a life span on the lower control arms like the upper, i ask because just over 12 months ago i re bushed my lower as they where flogged out (what a hell of a job to), I'm not a 100% happy with it.

I didn't do the ball joints they where fine at the time and i didn't think the might be nearly on there way out, my car has recently developed a loud clunk, when i back out the drive on full lock and accelerate clunk, then if i brake hard clunk etc.

Its seems forward and backwards pressure that causes it to happen once it happens moving forward then it will only happen backwards etc. I haven't been able the find the problem all bush look ok everything seems tight i was thinking maybe a ball joint.

P.S. sorry for hijacking this thread.

At my last rego check the ball joints were said to be ok but when I pulled the front end out I found there was a lot of slop in the joint so that's why I replaced the whole assembly. At 200,000 km a little TLC doesn't hurt.

Yes there was a bit of a clunk but my whole Jeep clunks know

Next will be JBA top arms from Murchison's when the credit card cool down

Or maybe Rocky-Road ones

Yeah when the budget allows I'm going to go with murchison's lift and jba uppers, i may even look into superlifts 4"lift.

Have you got a price on shipping from rocky road going by the shipping calculator it's $354 which makes it over $700 us, ouch.

As for the clunck i think i will just put up with it until something breaks or falls off then i definitely will know what the problem is haha.

I usually bring things via a forwarder, I use Shipito (https://www.shipito.com/) but there's plenty of others.
From memory it cost about ~$130something to get some roof rails and a few other bits and pieces from Rocky Road to Sydney via Shipito. The big advantage is that you can consolidate other stuff with the package.
For example you could pack some bushes and small things inside the arms without increasing the shipping cost.

Never understood the appeal. A fine black solid mesh with the black grill bars removed would look nicer and more useful IMO. Still need a mesh behind the Crawl insert to keep bugs and rocks out.
