[QUOTE=sladey;1367995]fab'd up some removable mud flaps as i ripped up my old pair...and they took 2 bolts each side to undo..meh, these ones will have a wire locking lynch pin once they arrive in the mail...just a single bolt taking their place right now.. need to give them a bit of a tidy up (smooth edges, paint)

also removed the chrome jeep letters from the grill and replaced with official mopar black ones, not sure what wrangler they are standard on but they look good on my white jk

edit- i know bill, i coulda just got your dbor flaps when they come in but im impatient and needed an excuse to break out the angle grinder

Looks pretty clean Sladey, any close up pics on how you have mounted the mud flaps?

Not sure how Sladey mounted his, but this is how I did mine - made them up to fit under the two bolts that held the bumper on, same ones that hold on the ARB rear bar.

The mount is a flat bit of steel, with a 100mm long piece of angle iron welded on. Then I grabbed a another bit of angle about 400mm long to slide over the top and a bit to sit underneath and another bit to hold them apart. Welded them all together and it forms a sleeve to slide over the 100mm stub bolted to the chassis.

Bolt the mudflap on and use a wire latch pin to push through all three layers and hold it in place. Sweet

Default Rugged Ridge Hood Latches

Took about an hour to change the crappy rubber latches over to these pieces of machined perfection.
It does help if you have small fingers (I don't!), but popping the grill loose did help a bit.
The fit and finish of these things is excellent.

Default More light out the front

When I got my JK, I fitted a pair of HID Hella Driving Llights and a pair of matching (non HID) Hella 55W QI fogs.
Since I've replaced the factory original fogs with a pair of Dually Driving lights, and as I never drive in fog, I decided to replace the 55w QI Hella fogs with a pair of D2 Dually Driving lights.
With the HID Hellas and the D2's, plus the Dually fogs, and the Duallys on the windscreen, I'm now able to turn night into day when ever I want!!!

Going out tonight to line everything up.
