Hey reyzor - the pic is of Brettski's Rubicon showing that the same thing happened to him.

Slickturtle said he has the diesel 2dr. So they are not show and go stickers, but rather another forum member's JK. All information obtained from reading slowly and correctly.

Thanks Reyzor, Carvsdodo, Davidd and all

They are all good comments. It is interesting that I would talk about this sort of thing to the Jeep salesmen here and there, and they hardly had any idea how the 4W system actually works. I just wanted to compare it to my Landcruiser station wagon which had a centre diff lock and LSD at the back. I could understand that. But I didn't get very far with them. I still don't know what would happen if you put the front bar against a big tree on dirt and try to drive through it? Will all wheels spin or will the gadgetry tell all the wheels to stop spinning the the trasfer case blow holes through the floor as it explodes?!!

Reyzor, no I didn't post a pic of mine. Sadly it ain't a Rubicon. Mine is attached.

On another matter. In the other photo you can see where a stick neatly speared through the flexible exhaust coupling. It took ages to drill out the stick with a battery drill till it collapsed and I could get the remains out. No damage done to anything - lucky I think!

Cheers

The traction control takes a second or 2 to respond sometimes just keep pushing the increasing the accelerator ant the computer will then try and comply with your wishes, if you back off too early nothing will happen

I disagree about the lockers .. you can dig REALLY big holes with them... way harder to recover you afterwards....

As mentioned above by JKohn that is my Rubi and it was resting on the ground. Even with lockers it wouldn't move. But after I had a lift installed, it doesn't do that anymore.

I've noticed that the chassis of the Jeeps are a little lower to the ground than most other 4WDs. Probably because of some crazy rollover lawsuit in the US. Nothing a lift kit won't fix. But it will mean you'll get a bit hung up in places where others don't.

Hard to say but probably - it is normally happening when you see a wheel change speeds suddenly. The BAS is very good - I saw a diesel SWB with better tyres than mine down at Harvey a few weekends ago and it did very well in the mud. The BAS was working overtime...
