is there a chart or something that tells the ratios of the explorers for certian years? as for price, a few guys just said "i dunno, a few hundred...".

Sounds like it is going to work out a hell of a lot cheaper if that is the quote, nice work man

At the moment I'm running a set of 33 cooper ST's.

My kit was shipped in two pieces because they didn't have the diff cover in stock. It didn't take long to get the first shipment, maybe a few weeks? The diff cover took almost 2 months.

Unfortunately I wasn't concerned about ratios but I believe most of them were 4.10. I have a vague recollection that the ratio was on the little metal tag attached to the cover saying 4L10 or something.

The shock mounts are mounted parallel to the axle as opposed to perpendicular. So my shocks bush gets pretty knocked around under flex. I am going to cut them flat and weld a perpendicular on onto it to make it more like the XJ factory setup.

You will need a press to put the flange that comes with the kit onto your 1310 diff end of your tailshaft, that is about the only thing that is harder than the d44 swap I reckon.

Running a different track front to rear, especially by so much can cause issues when turning from what I have read.
The other option is to run different offset rims front to rear to compensate....

ok an update, i have recieved my front arb locker and my 4.56 ratios, im just w8ing on my detroit 4 the rear, it was only sent yesterday. im also still waiting on the diff swap kit, it was sent almost 3 weeks ago so it should be here any day, fingers crossed. i found a 8.8 with explorer tailshaft for $200 in the quokka 2day, goin 2 pick it up 2moro. another guy from the paper was askin 1k, told him he was dreamin haha.
im gonna cut off the old mounts and clean up the diff ready to weld the new mounts on as soon as the kit arrives arrives. then i just have 2 wait to get the final locker and i can take both diffs to the diff shop and get the lockers and ratios fitted.

the USPS track and confirm website is crap, it hardly updates at all and its not clear the location of your packages.
anyway, hopefully it wll all come soon.

Burmonster this is how my tailshaft mounts up to the rear diff. I just took the supplied flange adapter and pressed the uni into it using a 10 tonne press.

Good luck with it!
