Default ARB Wentworthville SYDNEY

My case is a bit convoluted.

I purchased a WARN 9.5 CTI-S in May 2015 and was installed on the JK upon it's arrival in August last year.

Everything worked fine until a couple of week ago when it just died a slow death. The motor got weaker and weaker, then died. I can hear the solenoid clicking when trying to operate it but the motor does not work.

The winch was purchased from Vic, SBR Offroad who in turn got it from ARB Wangara, then shipped it to Sydney.

I rang up the headoffice in Melbourne and was told to bring my JK to the closest ARB (Wenty) for the warranty.

That was done this morning but was met with a lot of resistance from Brad Kovacic, a checkout chic there. Long story short, I was turned down for the warranty. He gave me quite a mouthful and was rude, basically arguing with me on why it cannot be done. Extremely poor customer service. ( quite prevalent anyway, unfortunately) His reasoning was I bought it off Vic, a reseller and not a stockist. Why should it matter anyway? At the end of the day it came from ARB and only 8 months old.

I am in touch with ARB's product manager in Melbourne at the moment and he is still finding out what can be done to fix this issue. I will also follow this up with WARN USA in Oregon tomorrow morning.

It is quite unfortunate to spend $$$ on a trusted brand only to be let down by one of our own.

The worst customer service I have ever had was in that store.

Sounds like the same rude, lazy bastard that 'served' me. He refused to get off his ass and come and talk to me. Then (shouting from his chair) he basically said to look on their website and leave him alone.

If that wasn't bad enough, as I walked outside one of the fitters out the back was have a domestic with his misses in the carpark. It was an ugly scene.

I've never been back there and vowed never to spend a cent with ARB based on my experience with that store.

Just got a call from Andrew, ARB HQ. Warranty claim is now good. Also got an apology call from Brent, ARB Wenty, saying that the were given a bum steer, the wrong information. Asked me if I would now like to make an appointment to bring the Jeep in. HELL NO!! Are they kidding?? I'm going to ARB St Peters instead. They've been great to me in the past...

The ocre JK? Yeah, he's a got a 1:10 ocre as well.

They've been helpful, once literally saving my back. The rear balljoint bushing died but Jeep apprentice mechanics at Artamon couldn't find the problem after sending the Jeep there 3 times.. So much time wasted.
The ARB St Peters guys found the problem in 5 minutes up on the hoist. Then I took back to Jeep Artamon and they again failed to find the problem. I had to go and show the mechanic of the loose/dead balljoint. LOL! And we pay $115/hr for that. Jeep service is expensive and really shit.
Well, that was before..I've smarten up a bit since, thanks to the community here at AJOR, JF etc..

Are arb the importers for Australia? I think they are. Anyway if they are they are required to deal with warranty issues.
