As per this thread http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...122388&page=13

I found my CJ7 was a bit of a legend back in the day and was one of 2 owned by Jeep as a promo car and did the Rubicon trail then shipped to Australia in early 1983 where it was complianced and sold to Ray Barker of American auto's which later became 4wd1.com the other sold to Bushdriver. Both cars featured in Advertising in the mags and im trying to find copies and which editions to get.

There is an article by Rick Williams where he attended the Rubicon/29 th Jeep Jamboree in Vol 4 No. 4. (No date just Feb pencilled on the cover).
Stories appear including an extensive trip across Australia wit a Hilux and a couple of Isuzu Bighorns in vol 4#5 and vol 5 #1,2,3,4.
He mentions 1981 jeeps in the Rubicon article but the Bushranger CJ7 has lever door handles which I assume was a 1979?? Model.
Vol 4 # 5 ..Dec 1981, Vol 5 # 1...Feb 1982, # 2 April 82, # 3 June 82.

I love the '76 brochure. My uncle has one of those in a bizarre minty yellowish-green color.
