Yep, that's what I thought too - I've also been in convoys in Perth that would give it a crack
Also seen events in the USA like 'Jeep Beach' and the 'Bantam Jeep Festival' which literally have thousands turn up, which I have mentioned to the organisers.
But as they pointed out to me - it's all in the definition of an 'off-road 4wd convoy' which is quite strict when a record attempt is made.
All vehicles have to be 4wd, registered and ALL MOVING AT THE SAME TIME over an entirely OFF-ROAD course of 3.2kms (2 miles) ie once ALL vehicles have started moving, every vehicle has to cover 3.2 kms without stopping and keep going till the last vehicle has travelled 3.2kms
This could be tricky - even in small convoys there can be quite a delay between the first vehicle moving off and the last vehicle moving.
There are other requirements too - like distance between cars and probably a few other things I haven't been told yet
