did it install and improve things dave?
i am thinking this is latest similar to my Uconnect_8.4AN_RJ4_16.13.13_MY14 update that is available ?
i have MY14_RJ4_ROW_15_26_1 currently installed with no issues other than repeated songs on the bluetooth to phone at times so im wondering if i should update or leave it as is. Has to go back to service dep Friday for work to be done so can get it installed at the time if i want. What ya recon?

Didn’t fix any of the year long outstanding bugs I had (now 2 years..). There is a new update due out sometime soon, the one rolling out in the US at the moment. For us it will supposedly fix the navigation issue where you can’t change states through interface (I can only change by voice command) and it will also apparently have the new maps (which will still be 2+ years old...)

If no major probs at the moment I would hold off for the new one, though if you drop it in for service they may just do it anyway.

Thanks, yea i have done some reading and it seams people want to go back to what i have as nav problems start again think ill wait.

Had a call from FCAA to tel me that the new update with nav fix was here and of course I was sceptical. Not available on the Uconnect site but dealer downloaded for me. Now at version 17.9.1 and I can now change states! Finally after 2.5 years hehe. Seems a large update as took just over an hour to complete. Has rearranged icons, moving phone to bottom right and removing settings, replacing it with an Apps icon in the middle.

Is the navigation any better cause I gotta say our MY15 initially impressed me but as I started living with it I'm getting annoyed/disappointed by it.
eg
1. The voice says "Turn Left..... Onto Blah Street.....in 600m"
WTF What moron thought that would be better than "In 600m Turnleft onto blah street.
2. Even though i was already on the fastest route, today my Navigator tried to tell me to make a "Legal" U turn on Pennant Hills Road...good luck with that (6 lanes of thick, fast and heavy traffic)
3. ...
Got other gripes but not fresh in my mind. Just completely underwhelmed and would rather relie upon my phone maps anyday.

Na wishful thinking on the apps. Just moved everything that used to be under settings to the new apps icon.

A couple of minor changes noticed apart from the apps button. When exit from reverse you used to tap anywhere on the screen to turn off the rear camera (when you have it delayed), that's now replaced with a red X top right corner. FM radio (at least on SeaFM up here) now accurately updates and displays the song info on the screen. Can now enter country AND state instead of just country. Map colours seem to have changed a little, it seems easier to read. Tunnels now show as a tunnel on the screen with no map, but it does update exits as you go along. That's about all I have noticed so far.
