Nice looking XJ! I hope you've got your wallet ready!

Instead of posting pictures like that use either photobucket or imgur. (photobucket requires an account - imgur doesn't.) Just upload your pictures there and copy the "IMG" code and post in it this box. It'll display as a picture even though it shows as text in this box.

Not sure about XJ parts availability over there, but you might be better off putting in a large order from Rockauto and getting everything at once. The high pressure line for the power steering pump is readily available over here. (http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...power+steering).

I'd assume rockauto would sell them as well.

Thanks everyone - great community round here

- Cheers for the heads up re the HP hose Layback.
Will try to chase one up this week b4 collecting the car - if unsuccessful I will get to enzed (miles away tho sadly). The leak is in the flexible part of the line not the steel one.

I'll take a closer look at the window issue when I have the car but it is stuck entirely up (luckily) and doesn't respond to either switch

Will be dropping the oil and filter myself first thing and will do other fluids ASAP as a preventative measure. She drives, stops, changes up and down, turns etc smoothly - really looks to have had an easy life as an 'old man car' (thus the custom headlight protectors) although has sat for a while (thus the battery issues methinks)

Thanks also for the brakes and electrical tips - will be spending next weekend going thru the wiring (yay)

- JJ I'm in SA, near Mclaren Vale
Be interested in any window info/parts although several other things are taking priority with my attention initially (tyres are borderline legal and some of the lighting wiring wants a little love - probably pull it all out and run 10ga and new relays)

-rain man, window is dead but I guess u have already read that!

-Cypher and darkside the protectors are kinda quaint but they'll be the first thing to go!

-Apache thanks for the tips, will use imgur from now on...
Wallet is ready and waiting - pockets are soon to be empty! I like that its pretty clear what needs doing though and nothing has been bodgey'd up or concealed

Can't believe the hose is under $20 in the land of the free! I'm expecting it will be close to ten times that here... Will check a couple of wreckers (junkyards to u?) as well as local suppliers

Thanks again to all - will keep you posted as I pick it up and go thru the bits n pieces

If you need a mech to do anything, Perkins Auto Repairs (Mclaren Vale). Malcolm is the man he has fixed a few things on my Jeep that I couldn't do myself.
Only other word of advice is you would do better to forget a budget lift and get a decent lift set up. IMO I would forgo a locker and use the $1500 it would cost to fit a locker and instead get a decent lift kit. Up to you though.

Regards A
