Tomorrow my front bar is supposed to be arriving, along with my reverse lights for the rear bar. Hopefully if it comes I can get it fitted with the winch before Christmas

Well my reverse lights arrived with my front bar. So I took the bar off, touched up some scratches and finished the wiring / install. The lights are cool but they aren't very bright, more of a reverse indicator for cars that get up your arse when you are trying to reverse park. They are wired from the trailer harness. Also tested out that on the weekend too moving some furniture. All worked well.

Bar with primer and first top coat. I was hoping to get this on but I have read that I need to install the skid plate into the bar first, before installing it all on the jeep as one. Unfortunately the skid plate isn't arriving uni till late Jan so it's on hold for a few weeks.

Finished paint on the front bar over the weekend. I have fitted it to the jeep which will allow mock fitment of the skid plate and to drill support holes in the crash bar. It will need to come off later for skid plate fitment and horn fitment. Would of liked to attach my winch but unfortunately don't have any suitable bolts. Overall very happy. It's a great bar. I have a few small tips for anyone installing this bar please pm me if you like. Oh and don't worry the number plate position is temporary, just zip tied on. I'll most likely drill it between the fog lights.

Cheers

Did some sand driving recently... Loved it. After working out the five second hold to disable ESC completely the jeep went great. I also have 35"s going on next week when my aev pintlers arrive. I also ordered a rampage sport rack to make packing it easier for trips.

It's been ages since I've updated this, but the jeep is now where I invisioned it. There are still some small projects I want to work on, such as a tyre carrier. It performs very well offroad and the 35"s are a great match to the rubicon gearing. I would never go back to factory size tyres.

The jeep has 20,000 kms on it now. Mostly touring type trips, snow twice, goldcoast etc. the painted flares are slowly getting chipped so I am investigating plastidip for them. The same case for the inside of my tailgate where the spare tyre sometimes rubs.

Cheers
