Don't let the numbers on the sidewall fool you, they aren't 100% correct and some manufacturers understate but far more over state the actual size of the tyre.
My Mudhogs whilst the sidewall says they are 35/12.5/17 in reality are only about 33.5" in diameter.
The 285/75/17 Nittos are actually 34.09" in diameter and are less likely to get into trouble with plod.
