Changed my seat covers out, got some new Illana canvas covers. They don't make anything specific off the shelf, but for about $400 you can get custom made, but too expensive especially since I replace them yearly. Last set was a Hilux set which fitted okay. This year I used the new Ford Ranger set and the rear seat fits better. Also since I don't have the rear seat armrest, I decided to try fit it on the front consol lid which worked out awesome. So now have a bit of padding there. The front seats fit real nice.

Decided to inspect the turbo resonator and try out the removal of the core. Not real sure as to any real difference in feel, only the high frequency pitch of the turbo is present. Nothing to write home about. A proper delete tube would be better (of course) which I will get to.

I found a catch-can for a decent price (albeit a ProVent etc would be better but didn't want the price tag) $40, then proceeded to modify it to better catch the oil from the CCV. Drilled the inlet for an interference fit with 1/2" tube. Then I applied some araldite to the outside of the tube and the inner surface of the lid to hold the stainless scourer. The glue held the scourer well and achieved what I wanted, decent filtration with only a little bit of resistance. Just need to buy some aluminium angle to make a mounting bracket to fit it all.

Started fitting the catch-can today. Knocked up a test bracket which I might remake if it is not strong enough. I will use steel hose clamps to attach it better but it is quite secure at present. I used the existing hose off the PCV and trimmed it and stepped it down to 1/2" hose and secured it along the strut brace. I capped off the entrance to the intake so I could drive the vehicle. I will finish off the outlet hose in the next few days. I also did an oil & filter change 10,000klns in 8 weeks. So was an eventful day!! Awaiting on tensioner and idler pullies to replace those then my maintenance can move to the suspension.
