Default Brakes

I know my back brakes and handbrake are shot but front brakes seem pretty average as well now. Well very average. A tight squeeze doesnt stop me very quickly.

The park brake light is staying on now which is saying i need to get them looked at.

Whats everyone think about not having the back brakes working ? Its never bothered me and the front brakes are usualy good enough. I wil probably just look at my front brakes. Could also be mud from 4x4ing maybe. Now thinking about ut i guess the pads wont last as long on the front as they are doing more work.

The back brake system looks a bit crazy and it all needs re setting again. Springs and crap everywhere lol. Might be worth bying a new set

When i was deciding to engineer and re-licence my 1995 XJ, a big factor in the decision was the brakes. They were hopeless and i was not going to go ahead with the project unless i can get them sorted. I put a brand new booster in... no change and the Jeep would just roll to a stop under hard braking.
I read a few forums and the consensus was EBC Yellowstuff pads. I got some and the difference was amazing. My Jeep would actually lock up again. Worth a try, and these pads in the link are supposed to be even better... http://www.shop.blackmagicbrakes.com...F-BMBP-477.htm

Cheers,
