These would be to low budget solution I think as they use the factory mounting points of the roof rails which secures them in the roof instead of the rails.
Still it says dynamic weight 68kg which is car standard I think. A roof tent already weight around 60kg

I checked the rocky roads cannot get them in Australia. Are those also attached to the factory mounting points of the rails?

I have those rhino rack bars and just bought one of these...

Will post some pics when I get her mounted. This is a temporary setup for me until I buy a new camper trailer sometime next year but just miss getting out there, also the price and weight seem good.

Hopefully the roof wont buckle ...

Cool! Would love to see and hear if it will be solid setup. Nice tent also!

I managed to put up the Dune rooftop tent today. Great tent, really spacious and the cover comes on and off quite easily. It’s mounted onto my rhino rack bars and I must say it’s not the sort of set up I would use long term.
Even though the tent weighs 56kg and the bars, I estimate about 6kg, it still comes in well below the recommended maximum 68kg roof loading.
I gave it a good shake and as expected there is some minor roof flexing but Im satisfied it will be OK for a few weekend trips. There is no way I would take this setup on corrugated roads. Hopefully the Chief Products rack comes soon.
