This is my long distance Offroad setup. Like when we moved from Perth to Sydney or off road for more than a few days. Works really well, is quite heavy though.

Hi they look great, I have been thinking of getting these. Do you have a photo of how you strapped them down. Did you do that so you could pull them out to access the spare?
Would the 4WD supacentre kings fridge fit hight wise do you think, what model fridge is the one in the pic. Thanks
Mark

Just used mini ratchet straps to points on the car. No it doesn't move even Offroad in sand dunes and rocks. I carry a descent puncture repair kit and compressor so never worry about a flat. Spikes on the other hand will be an issue, then again if you get spiked you will likely have more than one tire shredded and spare is useless.

You might reconsider your mounting method if you check out just what the mounting points consist of in the back. (it'll take about 5 minutes)
Each one is an 8g self tapped screw in to plastic ONLY.

Very true. I broke one recently. I just then bought a steel cable from bunnings tied it to the spare tyre ran the cable up the side and strapped it to that. On thr back it mounts to the metal hooks in the seat. Good point.
