Hi Grange,
the unit from ebay plugs into the diagnostic plug in your jeep ,mine (wh) is under the dash on the drivers side, then you get the phone to make a btooth paired connection to the unit and then you start the torque program. The next time you want to use it just plug the unit into the diag plug again and start the torque program on your phone it waits for the btooth to connect and then connects to the cars system by itself.

Yep, every car has to have one these days.

The unit gets power from the cars OBD plug so you need nothing else except your phone (or tablet) with BT to pair it once and you're good to go from then on.

thanks - i just ordered the unit - getting a log of the car working properly when new and having the comparison for when something goes wrong is a good idea

Has anyone actually tried a newer iPhone. I thought from iPhone4 that the Bluetooth limitations were addressed. Mine worked straight up with my pioneer head unit. Besides being stuck with the iPhone the only other drawback I see with this device for CRD users is it lacks the main item that is worth watching, that being EGT's. I'm thinking the Aeroforce that DBOR stock would be good for diesel users as it has provision for exhaust gas monitoring as well as OBD data. If only it were as cheap as this app.
