Any advantages to these over factory bushes? Are they cheaper/better/easier to fit?

Cheers,
HB

Supposed to be better but only real world use can tell you that.
I will fit the silver/black ones to the top of the diff & the orange/red (one with the bar through it) for the front support, waiting till after Xmas when the $$ are back.

They are more expensive then the factory ones, 2 to 3 times more expensive! But if they are as good as they claim & you have changed these before you will happily pay the difference. Prick if a job.

I have been told that it stiffens up the front end improving power transfer (less movement means power is transferred to the wheels more efficiently)

The negative is supposed to be more vibration can be transferred due to the rubber compound not absorbing as much as stock ones. Reports from the American SRT8 forums is no different to slightly more vibration.

The reason to replace them is not so much the knocking & excessive movement that you get when they fail but the pinion alignment with the front prop shaft, alignment issues are the main reason the boot fails on the CV in the end causing CV failure

I replaced all the diff bush's with factory ones & the CV, I still had a CV failure 30,000km later.

Good finds thanks Clarky.
My last OEM replacements only lasted ~30kkm, and now well overdue for replacement. Think I might've stressed them when I had the diff hanging a few weeks after installing.
I'll try the red (polyurethane I assume.) upper ones if you're gunna try the silver/black ones.

The only install pic's I found showed them being tightening up with a pipe wrench.

Maybe the http://www.jeeperf.com/ ones are the go? I may reconsider

It turns out Jeeperf have 2 grades of bush's "Super Duty" & "Poly"

Like their tie rod ends too.

Contacted Jeeperf on installation details & they got back to me within the hour.

Dave,

Thank you for your interest. Our pinion and passenger bushings do install like the factory bushing set. Our front insert require that you unbolt the front differential mount the same way you would do with the factory part, but instead of replacing it, you press out its insert, and replace it with ours. Please feel free to forward this information to your subscribers and let us know if we could be of further help. Thank you for checking our JeePerf.com website.

Wally
Not bad customer service
