It's funny cos I used to eat and drink as much and whatever I wanted and never put on weight until I turned 40, and it was almost like the tick of the clock on my birthday and suddenly I was about 6 kilos heavier.

I have all these boardies I can't wear anymore or even do up. I actually don't want to lose the wight but transfome it into something useful, um, like muscle, or even a set of swaybar disconnects...

I have a bike, treadmill, yoga DVD and ocean 2 minutes away, but if anyone stumbles across my motivation please call me on 1800 lazyba5tard.

Congrats and good luck to all!

Mike

Far out Tuckerbox! I hope its all good for you from now on.
No I haven't tried any Yoga. Is that the one you do in a 40* room? Some of the people at work do that one and rave about it.

I subscribe to the universal weight loss transfer theory.

For every pound (what's a kilo?) of weight you lose, another household member will gain. And vica versa.

I stay fat to keep the Mrs. thin.

Must work, everytime she loses weight, I have to go up a size.

Tuckerbox> I have been looking at this type of yoga just in the last week. I am planning to go to my first class in a few days (maybe tonight).
Is it quite comfortable in such a warm environment? You dont get dizzy or anything?

This thread is old, but I find it to be useful. I have recently started working on losing weight and gaining muscles. I do understand that nutrition is very important and I choose it on this site, but I have never tried a cleansing diet. I always thought that a rapid weight loss is harmful for health, but maybe it can help to clean the body from toxins. Anyway, thanks for sharing this information!
