dont understand how even the most die hard mud/rock fan cant enjoy a day wheeling on the beach? just because alot of the time its not challenging 4wdrivng as such, going up and down big sand dunes with some speed at stockton was so much fun, plus mucking around in the soft stuff..

Just like recent trip snow driving.. (not at all hard-very much like sand, needing momentum, and a steady foot) but was amaZing fun.. plus awesome locations..

I used to live in Horsham in Vic where we have mountains one side and desert the other.
Have ridden every inch seeing as I used to sell bikes for 5 years and ridden most of my life. One of the best trips 'ANNUALY' was from Nhill to Pinnaroo with most times 30 bikes and 4 or 5 support vehicles 'Usually just mates come for a drive and piss up, ute's, Dual Cabs, Patrols, sometimes a mates 4x4 that said they would go but got too pissed so the boys would just take it while he was still passed out'
The tracks get a bit intertwined so if not in a group then a good map is gold.
We used to take a day to get there '8 hours with drink and lunch stops' and a day to get back.
ABSOLUTELY 'GREAT' pub to stay at with CHEAP ACCOM out the back and wicked meals.
Could easily make up more track to head either Beachport or Mildura.
Get on some Motorbike web sites, especially Enduro and they have a wealth of info on tracks as well that some of the 4x4 ones don't.

Sand is awesome and i believe Robe has the toughest dunes of all!!
Been to Stockton, Lancelin,Fraser, done the Simmo, been to Robe 12 years straight, you will get bogged!!!
Awesome trip Kitrino, one you need to do, with the bypass you get into Robe now in 5.5hours from Melb.
Were actually thinking of Cannonballing it on the Grand Final weekend, leave Friday, back Sunday night!!
