Default Beach drives in Vic?

Highly recommend it. Been there done that a couple of times. Canunda beach really good , others can be scary (watch the tides). 3 & 5 mile drifts really good fun. [img]graemlins/rock.gif[/img]

Grant - Southern oceans (i think that is the name)is another option. It is a very sheltered caravan park with good facilites and a big hose for washing down cars after the beach. Broadbeach is on the beach from memory - and as Beacport is always windy, shelter is important. The last two years I have been there, it has blown hard and harder.

sand driving can be down in 2 days - one day south towards southend. come out at carpenters rocks and have and ale at the tavern. Another day north towards Robe... and then lots of play days in between.

A $40 squid pole from an angling shop makes a great flag that collapses from 6m, down to a metre long

Not sure if JOCV is doing an official trip over there this year.

It was Southern Oceons that we stayed at and you are right it is well sheltered and good hot showers and wash down area good rates also
two tents on one site for $35.00 (2 nights) I think it was mind you it was an unpowered site
