Random trip to lithgow today some of the toughest off reading I've done. Did some hill climbs that the hilux's and patrols couldn't get close to.

Hole in bottom plate repaired today. It's only about 1mm thick so welding was no good blew holes straight through. Had to braze it with the oxy and a flux rod. Then brazed a 3.5mm plate over it, spayed with zinc rich paint then siliconed all around to stop any water getting in. The next rock should crumble when I bounce onto it

Lol thanks mate,

My motto is better of breaking it on the trails than my wife scratching and dinging it in the shopping centres.

Rock sliders
Made of 150x50x5mm RHS my engineer recons they will be fine for an 8 tone hit before bending. Wish I had more time hoping to finish them by next weekend. The ends will have 45 degree cuts horizontally and vertically to make sure it doesn't get hung up on anything. Still to make up brackets for underneath as they are currently on,y bolted to the seam welds. They will weigh about 35kg each
