I see someone on the Murchison facebook page was complaining he'd cracked his washer bottle more than once with the airdam removed too..... was asking about a nudgebar type of solution.

Yes i agree we need this urgenly
But
It needs to be nicely designed to replace the standard lower air dam so it can be left in place permenatley and will look good

Here's a quick update for everyone.

Based on the first prototype we've made some tweaks to improve strength, ease-of-installation, approach angle and engine cooling as well as some visual tweaks. We've updated the engineering drawings and I expect to have the 2nd prototype in about a week or so.

Cheers,
Bill

Any update on this one Bill?

The anticipation is killing me waiting for this, Stu's or TJM's snorkle and Yankee Daves roof rack.

Here's an update from the other forum, on Monday:

I'm expecting completion of our 2nd prototype tomorrow. I'll post more info and photos for everyone sometime this week.

Hey Hounds,

The 2nd prototype was unfortunately delayed a few days. I'm now expecting it before the end of the week. As soon as I have it, I'll be fitting it to our WK2 and posting some more info and photos.

Cheers,
Bill

Hey Guys,

My apologies for the lack of updates lately. I've hopped onto the forums several times to post these photos along with a product development update, but I always seem to get pulled away for some reason. Things have been very busy over here getting orders out and organising everything for our latest round of products.

I received and test fitted our 2nd prototype, (see photos) in late August. Our 2nd prototype provided many improvements over the 1st.

• Mounting System - Increased strength, easier installation and improved fit-n-finish.
• Cooling Slots - Significantly improved air flow, increased strength and IMO much better looking.
• Installation - Much easier with increased in-out adjustment. Improved integration with our other products.
• Camera Guard - Significantly increased approach angle and major strength increases.

All of our mounting holes line up perfectly and clearances around most parts look great. Initial in-the-field testing has been excellent. We've finalised the 3D models and engineering drawings for our 3rd prototype and it is currently being made. We're making the following improvements.

• Main Section - Improved Angle for better fitment behind OEM air dam. Reduced weight.
• Camera Guard - Reduced complexity to reduce manufacturing costs and weight.

For those without an ACC Camera there will be a flat centre plate in place of the Camera Guard, (see 3rd photo). Since our company WK2 has the ACC Camera, I don't have any photos of it installed, but I've included a photo of the part for those that are curious.

Cheers,
Bill
