Hey Bill, I hope it's not a dumb question but can the front apron be fitted over the top of this guard?
Cheers,
Jason.

Hey Jason,

I'm always happy to answer questions. This product (WK2 Lower Front Guard) is designed just for that purpose. It sits behind the front apron, so your WK2 looks great while on-road. Then when you remove the front apron for off-road driving, you have full protection for this critical area.

Cheers,
Bill

Hey guys, following on from the last question does the lower front guard protect the washer bottle and rad overflow bottle? Something I've read elsewhere is easily damaged with the frontlip removed.

Also does the lower front guard replace the mopar front axle slid plate? Or incorporate in nicely to provide further protection forward of the axle skid plate

Thsnks

Hey Chris,

The WK2 Lower Front Guard will protect the windshield washer bottle, the air suspension controller (if equipped), ACC Camera (if equipped) and the lower front of the radiator core. I think the radiator overflow bottle is up top, so that won't be protected by this product.

Our WK2 Sump Protection Plate protects the area forward of the Mopar Front Axle Skid Plate. It replaces the OEM plastic/felt 'Belly Pan' that Jeep uses to cover this area. The WK2 Lower Front Guard will integrate with the WK2 Sump Protection Plate, providing a fully protected front undercarriage.

Cheers,
Bill

Hey Guys,

An update on our WK2 Lower Front Guard.

We received our latest prototype last week, just in time for the WK2 Transmission Protection Plate test fitting, so we took the opportunity to test fit it as well. Things are looking really good. Everything bolts up and fits nicely on 2012 and 2013 models. We need to alter the Camera Guard for 2014+ WK2s so it fits a bit better behind the air dam. We're still tweaking the corner pieces so they fit neatly behind the air dam. We're also working on small tweaks to increase the fit-n-finish and improve installation on various configurations, (with/without ACC, with/without our Sump Plate, with/without air suspension, etc.).

With our next test fitting for this product I'll need someone with a MY14 WK2 with the ACC Camera and parking sensors. If you're interested send me a PM.

Cheers,
Bill

Here's a few photos of the latest WK2 Lower Front Guard prototype bolted onto the Chief Products MY12 WK2.
